30 Gallon Steam Generator Kit
The 30 gallon steam generator kit is not designed for pressure. It is imperative that the output be open to atmosphere.
The kit is not complete. At a minimum, you will need piping for the steam output, ¾”pressure relief valve or valves, ½” Npt pressure gauge, and a heater or heaters. If you are unsure on the number of heaters, we recommend getting an extra heater port for possible expansion.
Steamer includes:
- Lid with three ¾” threaded bung holes and one 3/4” x 1/4” Npt reducer.
- Insulated 30 gallon drum
- Drain with garden hose adaptor
- 2” ferrule with clamp for heating element. Cap included on extra ports
- Thermometer
- Stainless float/fill valve
- 1.5″ npt steam output
- Water Pressure regulator
- Braided fill hose
Myers Mushrooms has a short video featuring the steam generator. He has also put a kit together that includes the necessary gauges and pressure relief valves. The adjustable pressure relief valve should be set to 3 psi.
